Heres everything you need to know about packing a dream Disney World Christmas Vacation. The Christmas season at Disney World is one of the most popular times of the year to visit, and when you take a look at the pictures and information below, we think you will understand why. You will not want to miss out on all of the special things that Disney has to offer during the Christmas season. Check out all the things we are doing during the holidays to bring some extra Disney into the season.
It is no secret we are huge theme park fans here, so it is no brainer to introduce some Disney magic to our house, especially around the holidays. We love taking a Disney Christmas cruise a bit early in the season, which brings lower costs and lots of time to enjoy the holidays at home once we get back.
Christmas in Disney Springs is the perfect way to start a complimentary vacation at Disney Resorts. Head over to a resort and take in the festive decorations, or visit Disney Springs to do some holiday shopping and a tree trail. Disney resort hotels will have lots of holiday decorations, including fairytale Christmas trees, in their lobby as well. They are all pretty awesome, but to help you make your holiday visit to Disney happen with decorations, here are our top 5 most decorated Disney hotels.
This post is going to provide you with a simple, step-by-step checklist for your Christmas Vacation decor tours at the Disney resorts. In this guide, we are going to cover some of the things that you can expect to see at the parks during the Christmas season at Walt Disney World. As Disney World continues to unveil merch during the holidays, we are going to take you inside the parks and Resorts for a quick look at what goodies you will be able to find. While we have got a best list of Disney Christmas movies for families, and are always adding more favorites from our Disney Christmas episodes, there is nothing like a Disney movie night, complete with crafts, dinner, and treats, to make things extra special.
The Magic Kingdom is home to the one holiday-themed special event that is specifically marketed to tickets — Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party. Make sure not to miss out on this Magic Kingdom attraction on your visit, which is open during Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party as well as normal park hours. Hop on a bus from Disney Springs to take a ride over to Animal Kingdom Lodge, where you will be lost in a magical Christmas display in the Africa-themed resort. The detailed Christmas Disney ornaments on animals and perfectly strung lights are all factors in making Disneys Wilderness Lodge Resort my favourite resort to spend more time in during my Holiday Vacation at Disney Resorts Tour.
The closer it gets to Christmas, the more decorated Disneys Wilderness Lodge is, but it is not by Disney. The Holiday Tree at the inside of the Wilderness Lodge resort at Disney is the best Christmas tree at Disney resorts. A visit to the Magic Kingdom for Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party; a night at Hollywood Studios for the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM show; an endless amount of holiday shopping at Disney Springs, walked down a holiday tree trail, and finished off the evening with Starbrights Holiday Show; a visit from Santa Claus all over Disney property, and perhaps a hug or two from the Disney characters dressed up in holiday garb.
Disney Christmas: Disneyland Gets Its First-Ever White Christmas, Celebration Planned
Disney fans should be on Santas best list this year, as the West Coast is finally joining the ranks of Disneyland park in California, with the addition of their own Disney holiday party, the Merriest Nite of the Disney World. Disney Merriest Nites is a separately-ticketed, limited-capacity event — a lot like Oogie Boogie Bash, which takes place in Disneyland park at Disneyland Park during Halloween time. Disney Merriest Nites is a separate-ticket, limited-capacity event-much like the Oogie Boogie Bash, which takes place at Disney California Adventure during Halloween Time at Disneyland Park. The event is divided into six holiday-themed parties, with each one tied to a land within Disney World, hosted by a familiar Disney or Pixar character: Mickey Mouse at Main Street, USA, Buzz Lightyear of Toy Story in Tomorrowland, Princess Tiana of The Princess and the Frog at New Orleans Square, Miguel Rivera of Coco in Frontierland, Lilo & Stitch in Adventureland, and Queen Elsa of Frozen – Queen Elsa of Frozen Kingdom.
You will be treated to a special parade, complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, event-exclusive merchandise, the castle decked out in all its glory, and a fireworks spectacular of Holiday Wishes. You will leave Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party feeling like you just stepped out of the North Pole, Disney style. Our beloved event does not officially begin until 7pm, but guests can enter Walt Disney World starting at 4pm if they have a Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party ticket. After Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party is over for the year, the Once Upon A Christmastime parade is typically held every day in Magic Kingdom during the afternoon hours, through late December, for guests who are in the park.
The Christmas parade in Disneyland is a Disneyland favorite among guests, featuring various favorites from Disneyland alongside holiday characters such as snowmen, gingerbread men, reindeer, and Santa himself. The Fantasy of Christmas Parade goes both ways — it goes from It is A Small World Holiday at the rear of Disneyland park all the way down Main Street, U.S.A. at the front, for the first few shows, then vice versa for later shows.
It is no wonder some of the highlights during the holidays at Californias Disneyland park are shows such as a Christmas Fantasy Parade, the believe…in…Holiday Magic fireworks spectacular, a candlelight processional, and even some of your favorite Disney characters dressed up in their festive finest. Disneyland park will have the majority of classic Christmas things to see at Disneyland, so I suggest spending an extra day in Disneyland to ensure that you get to see all of the magic. When you arrive at the gates to Disneyland Resort Park, you are greeted with huge snowflakes and a blizzard as well as the sounds of holiday music.
Walt Disney World has embraced the holidays to their fullest extent, turning theme parks into unique winter wonderlands shortly after Halloween concludes. Even downtown Disney and three hotels at Disneyland Resort are getting in on the action.
