The original Hollywood Vampires was an exclusive celebrity drinking club formed in the 1970s, specifically around 1974, by Alice Cooper. The group gathered at the upper room of the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Los Angeles. To join the ranks, a new member had to outdrink all the existing members. The roster included some of the most famous musicians of the time, such as John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Keith Moon, and Harry Nilsson. They were legends who lived hard and played even harder. Fast forward to recent years, Alice Cooper revived the name to form an American rock supergroup alongside Johnny Depp and Joe Perry. They created this band to honor the music of the rock stars who died from excess in the 1970s.
