BTS’ achievements as K-pop artists are unparalleled. They’re the only non-Western group to have a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 (Love Yourself: Answer), and they also hold records for most RIAA certified gold and platinum songs among Korean artists. The boys have broken several records by reaching milestones that had previously been unattainable for K-pop acts in the US, UK, and Japan—all without any major label backing to help them along their way.
The group has been active since 2013 when they debuted with “No More Dream” under Big Hit Entertainment in South Korea; they’ve been releasing music ever since then while building a strong fan base through social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. Their popularity exploded when they released their third studio album titled “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever” in May 2016 which debuted at number 37 on US Billboard 200 chart selling over 20k copies during its first week which was unprecedented since no other Korean artist or groups had achieved such high ranking before this time period.”
