He published an unprecedented statement demanding that the White House declassify material about a “serious national security threat” that should remain nameless. It was subsequently discovered that the danger was related to Russia’s plans to construct a nuclear weapon that would be stationed in space and would be geared to target satellites belonging to the United States.
